I'd rather be able to save some I love for once, than live a life of loneliness.

A mother sings a lullaby to a child
Sometime in the future the boy goes wild
And all his nerves are feeling some kind of energy

A walk in the woods and I will try
Something under the trees that made you cry
It's so erotic when your make up runs

I got wiring loose inside my head
I got books that I never ever read
I got secrets in my garden shed
I got a scar where all my urges bled

I got people underneath my bed
I got a place where all my dreams are dead
Swim with me into your blackest eyes

A few minutes with me inside my van
Should be so beautiful if we can
I'm feeling something taking over me

I’m a collector, I collect anything I find
I never throw anything away that’s mine
And I’d collect you too if I was given half a chance
And trap you under the glass and add my autograph

I catalogue, I preserve, and I index
And file you into my collectible Rolodex
I keep the rubbish what other people give away
And keep all of the pieces in a metal tray

Hoard
Collect
File
Index
Catalogue
Preserve
Amass
Index

I’m a collector and I’ve always been misunderstood
I like the things that people always seem to overlook
I gather up and catalogue it in a book I wrote
There’s so much now that I forget if I don’t make a note

If I collected you and put you in a little cage
I could take you out and study you every day
It isn’t easy being me, it’s kind of lonely work
My obligation to collecting is my only thirst
Deform to Form a Star - I - Grace For Drowning
Perfection is simple and dull, Imperfection is beautiful and fascinating..

lyrics:
Oh once in a while
I learn how to smile
Horses shadows and rain on stone

No god here I'm sure
This must be the cure
For all this carrion and aimless drift

Retreat from the begging
And invites to the wedding
Revelation means nothing here

In time we forget our need to devour
All the stories of tortured souls

Crawl into your arms
Become the night forever
Coiled and close, the moment froze
Deform to form a star
Here on earth together
I got time to share and a well used stare

This smile isn't pure
Certain or sure
Cold precision was never there

The way we uncoil
Return to the soil
Flaws are everything and chaos reigns

Entombed -/l\- Deliverance & Damnation
It's been about two weeks since the death of Chi Cheng, the bassist from Deftones. You might have heard of them before, I personally wasn't a fan but I've started listening to them and now think their music is pretty decent.
I'm dedicating this set to him, not just because I like their music, but because he was a prime example of a person who loved doing what he loves, went through hell and was able to wake up from his three year coma with the chance to see his loved ones one last time. Rest in peace Chi Cheng, and the victims of our latest tragedies.

From the day you arrived
I've remained on your side
In chains, entombed.
Placed inside, safe and sound
Shapes and colors are all I see.

On the day you arrived
I became your device
To lay and soothe.
Placed inside, safe and sound
Shapes and colors are all I see
Shades of colors are all I feel.

From the day you arrive
I'll stay by your side.
Placed inside, safe and sound
Shapes of colors are all I see
Shapes of colors are all I feel

Placed inside, safe inside
Shades of colors are all I see
Safe inside

This Bird might go extinct, if so, it will be joining the list of hundreds bird spices that have gone extinct over the period of fifty years. l+l

[ Ask - The Smiths ]

Shyness is nice, and
Shyness can stop you
From doing all the things in life
You'd like to

Shyness is nice, and
Shyness can stop you
From doing all the things in life
You'd like to

So, if there's something you'd like to try
If there's something you'd like to try
Ask me - I won't say "no" - how could I?

Coyness is nice, and
Coyness can stop you
From saying all the things in
Life you'd like to

So, if there's something you'd like to try
If there's something you'd like to try
Ask me - I won't say "no" - how could I?

Spending warm summer days indoors
Writing frightening verse
To a buck-toothed girl in Luxembourg

Ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me

Because if it's not love
Then it's the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb
That will bring us together

Nature is a language - can't you read?
Nature is a language - can't you read?

So...ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me

Because if it's not love
Then it's the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb
That will bring us together

If it's not love
Then it's the bomb
Then it's the bomb
That will bring us together

So...ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me
Oh, la...

The Raven that Refused to Sing

The Raven that Refused to Sing
[The Raven that Refused to Sing - Steven Wilson ]

Sing for me,
Sing for me.
You can come with me;
You can live with me.

Heal my soul,
Make me whole.

Sister, I lost you,
When you were still a child,
But I need you now,
And I need our former life.
I'm afraid to wake,
I'm afraid to love.

But just because I'm weak,
You can steal my dreams.
You can reach inside my head,
And you can put your song there instead.
Please, come to me.
Please, stay with me.

Please,
Sing,
Cry,
Cry.

Sing to me, raven,
I miss her so much.
Sing to me, Lily,
I miss you so much.

Sing to me, raven,
I miss her so much.
Sing to me, Lily,
I miss you so much.

Sing to me, raven,
I miss her so much.
Sing to me, Lily,
I miss you so much.

( About The Raven that Refused to Sing )

In Steven Wilson's own words:

“It’s a very simple song, again about loss and mortality. I think it would be hard for anyone to write about mortality without it being, to some degree, personal.

“Whether we like to admit it to ourselves or not, we’re all obsessed with mortality. And we should be, because we know that one day we’re going to cease to exist. We’re going to die. It’s the one thing that all human beings have in common. And possibly, we are the only species on earth that are aware of our own impending mortality. That’s such a heavy burden to carry around with you; it does affect everything in life.

“It’s about an old man at the end of his life who is waiting to die. He thinks back to a time in his childhood when he was incredibly close to his older sister. She was everything to him, and he was everything to her. Unfortunately, she died when they were both very young. This is not autobiographical; it’s fiction in that respect. But the guy is now at the end of his life, and he’s never been able to form any other kind of relationships. He’s spent his entire life alone, unable to relate to any other human beings.

“A raven begins to visit this man’s garden, and the raven begins to represent a symbol or a manifestation of his sister. The thing is, his sister would sing to him whenever he was afraid or insecure, and it was a calming influence on him. In his ignorance, he decides that if he can get the raven to sing to him, it will be the final proof that this is, in fact, his sister who has come back to take him with her to the next life.

“One of the things about my lyrics is, I try to be simple. I do it with the music, too. I don’t like things to be complex, intellectual or obtuse just for the sake of it. I love the simplicity of certain phrases. What’s special about being to say ‘I love you,’ but in a new way… it’s so hard to do that. They’re such clichés, in a way. Being afraid to love someone, being in love with someone… if you can find a way to make these things sound fresh again, that’s a really special thing to do."

Rated Over R
Unfortunately the music you're forced to hear on the radio isn't really good anymore. In fact it's absolute rubbish. You're constantly exposed to million dollar idols, artist that can't write music on their, and songs which are designed to be extremely catchy, along with messages that make us Americans looks stupid, and very dull. Now catchy isn't bad, but if you're constantly doing the same thing every single album, it shows how weak your musicianship is.

It's sad to say these big artist mask other music that's out there, and their constant repetitive musical elements don't help either, and don't get me started on today's hip-hop, it should be non-existent nor relevant. Sometimes I ask myself is this all a joke? How can people say that these artist are the pinnacle music, and the highlight of our f**king culture? If a piece of shit like "Future" really becomes big, if it really becomes the next big thing, then it shows how stupid and what horrible taste in music really is. As if Lil wayne, and "Nickie I can't color coordinate" isn't enough.

There's thousands of other artist out there, that deserve more of a chance to be listened than these sell outs. Now not all mainstream music out there is sh*t, but a majority of it is in my opinion. Even still I leave this open for debate if you can point out otherwise.

Luminol & The Watchmaker

Luminol & The Watchmaker
[ Luminol - Steven Wilson ]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3MpGBwGdVk

Here we all are
Born into a struggle
To come so far
But end up returning to dust

Oxfam panache tips his hat
(Laces undone)
He has no truck with idle chat
(Work to be done)
The songs he learned from scratched LP's
Stops in mid-flow to sip his tea

He strums the chords with less than grace
(Songs we all know)
Each passing year etched on his face
(Sun, rain or snow)
The words he sings are not his own
They speak of things he'll never know

( About Luminol )

“This is a story about a street musician, a busker. It was inspired by a guy who plays in my local town. He’s there every single day. It doesn’t matter what the weather is like; he’s always there, playing his acoustic guitar and singing these songs. Snow, rain, gale force wind – nothing will stop him from being in his spot.

“And the thing is, he’s terrible, absolutely rubbish. He never seems to get any better, no matter how much he plays these songs. I’m one of many people who pass him every day; he’s part of the street furniture, in a way. I suddenly started thinking, What would happen – God forbid – if he dropped dead in the middle of the street one day? Would people notice that he was no longer there?

“Then I had another thought: He’s the kind of guy who is so set in his routine that even death wouldn’t stop him. So I had this vision that he would drop dead one day, but the next day he’d be back in the same spot, playing the same songs, just like he always did. This kind of idea that somebody could be a ghost in life, as well as a ghost in death, somebody who’s completely ignored even in their lifetime – it hardly makes a difference; and death doesn't make a difference, either; it doesn't break the routine. That’s the story behind Luminol."

[The Watchmaker - Steven Wilson]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csBEUb_eNp8

The watchmaker works all day and long into the night
He pieces things together despite his failing sight
Though all the cogs connect with such poetic grace
Time has left its curse upon this place

Each hour becomes another empty space to fill
Wasted with the care and virtues of his skill
The watchmaker buries something deep within his thoughts
A shadow on the staircase of someone from before

This thing is broken now and cannot be repaired
Fifty years of compromise and aging bodies shared
Eliza dear, you know, there's something I should say
I never really loved you, but I'll miss you anyway

Well, you were just meant to be temporary
While I waited for gold
We filled up the years and I found that I liked
Having someone to hold
But for you I had to wait
Until one day it was too late

[Repeat x3]
Cogs and levers mesh
We are bound in death
Melt that silver down
I'm still inside you

(About The Watchmaker)

“Another adventure. This is the story of the watchmaker, the guy who is meticulous about his craft, but he never has any kind of emotional outburst, nor does he express violence or any extreme emotions whatsoever.

“It’s the idea of a couple who have been together for 50 years or more, purely because it was convenient and comfortable. There’s a line that says something like ‘You were just meant to be temporary while I waited for gold.’ So it’s the idea that they got together almost because they didn’t want to be in a situation where they weren’t dating somebody, and they’ve ended up together for 50 years, even though there was never a strong feeling of love between them.

“If you allow yourself, life can pass you by. Time is tick, tick, ticking away. If you’re not careful, you can find that your whole life has gone by, with this idea of ‘Maybe I’ll do this one day...’ It’s a very sad sentiment of regret, of what should have been and what could have been. Sometimes that feeling of comfort can be a real drug.

“The watchmaker ends up killing his wife and burying her under the floorboards of his workshop. But, of course, she comes back, because she’s been with him for 50 years; she’s not going to leave him now. So again, it’s the idea of death not making any difference in a situation. You can kill me, chop me up, bury me, but I’m still not leaving.

“At the very end, it’s very dark, and the wife comes back to take him with her, which is another classic ghost story, in a way."

When He Discovered Treasure.

When He Discovered Treasure.
Recently I've gotten into collecting Vinyls. I never really saw them as big as I do now. I guess back then I didn't really care, I wasn't that much into music as I am now.

So far I've only gotten a few vinyls that I can claim as my own. However none of them are anything special, expect two beetle Vinyls that I own. The rest are classical masterpieces that I myself bought from the library for about a dollar.

I remember buying five of em along with the a set of the first three original star trek films. I've yet to see them as I wish to keep in decent condition they already are. I don't even dare to to see the first one which is wrapped as the day it came out of the factory.

I want more vinyls, and There are one or two that I must really get my hands on, the original dark side of the moon Vinyl, The wall, a few led zep records, Jimi Hendrix's and a few works of Jeff beck. Now there's also the porcupine Tree and Dredg Vinyls that I'm after, they're easier to get a hold off, but not so easy find in the local record store. And how I can forget. I must get my hands on some Rush.

In the end there are a number of Vinyls that I'm after, and I hope to get at least most of them, feeding starving people in African is way more important.

Capitalistic Tyrants
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.'

-Thomas Jefferson-

I for one fear bullets over private banking institutions, however banking systems can destroy a nation from within, regardless of their true intentions.

Capitalism doesn't work, neither does Communism.
